    Flash to Console

I've been searching around for a while, but I havn't found what I was looking for yet. Is it possible to make flash games run on a e.g. XBOX or a PLAYSTATION(1 or 2)? In that case, do you need some other program, or is it something you can program from flash?

    Thanks,
    -RH

    Well.. It's possible... sort of

Xbox can play most games as it has emulators (if u have the upgrades)

So what you could do to play Flash is to download a Flashplayer for Amiga, put that player on a diskett with the swf file... and start it in the amiga emulator... but if your swf is too big (bigger than 880kb).. I dont know what to do.... the amiga emulaotr doesnt support Amiga harddisk files... yet...... well.. maybe the latest version.. havnt downloaded it.

Im pretty sure you cant run Flash directly on consoles. Unless you can program Flash player for each console.

I was pretty much aware that you needed some kind of program... I mean, how would the console know if you press X, A, Y or start and stuff?

Why don't you link up to a "How amiga file system works" page, and tell me later?

Nope... not the things u need to do to make xbox play the amiga flash disk. ehh...

    U see...

Open an amiga Emulator in Windows...

Format 10 disks (depending on how big your swf is)

Zip the swf file with the right "tag" to get it zipped to all disks (divided)

    Format another disk (start disk):
Add the required libraries + the flash player to the disk.. also add a map and name it "s". open notepad and create a text file called "startup-sequence". In that text file.. add the neccessary commands to unpack the zipped swf file to the memory (ram: ). When it has fininshed unpacking... start it with "Flashplayer ram:movie.swf"

    Tada!!...

    maybe not detailed enough.

    never mind....

Did they actually port Flash to the Amiga ?

When I sold my soul to Windows they were still working on pdf support and talking about a powerpc version of Flash3.

RNH, why would you even want to bother ? You have to go to all the effort of setting up an Amiga emulator which isn't the easiest thing in the world, and on an X-Box, then transfer the swf to it for it to run slowly, and then at best support for Flash 6.

Just seems an odd thing to want to try and do. There is a Flash player for PSX2, but I'm sure you can only get it under licence.

    Squize.

PS. Ironclaw thanks for reminding me about the joys of startup-sequence
