What happened to Pixelranger

What happened to www.pixelranger.com it has been since 9.22.03 since an update. I know Shane is very busy working with 2A; but, I would love to see the third installment of the Genesis Project. So, what do you fellows think about the awesome Genesis Project.

he does great work i had a chance to chat briefly with him awhile back said he was working the next version when he has time.. like he said working at 2A keeps him busy

Thanks for the information Vampstko. I thought he was probably buried up to his neck in work for 2A. It must be nice to have a job in the U.S. that has not been downsized or outsourced.

vampstko. Who are you? I dont remember chatting with you in my life. I only have a small amount of people on my Buddy lists and only the people on my lists can see me online. More than likely you meant that you sent in an e-mail to me and I responded. right?

Well yes LOTS of things going on. Updates of all of my 2A projects and non-2A projects are coming soon. I've got a TON of stuff to post. Some of it you've seen. Some of it you've seen and didn't know I did it. Some of it you've never seen before. Probably get that stuff up within the next two weeks. I've got the updates all done but each night I sit down to finish them off something seems to come up. Sometimes it is work related. Sometimes I just need to sit and hang out with my wife. Sometimes I get home late after Working out. Sometimes I get home late after football practice. Its a never ending circle so please bear with me.

In addition to those portfolio updates I do have a new Genesis Project 95% done. I'm putting on the finishing touches in the next two weeks and then I will post everything up together. In my opinion it is my favourite scene simply because of all the photoshop work thats gone into it. When you see the final image you will never know that the original picture was only 1/3 of the scene and that everything else was created and manipulated in Photoshop.

Aside from being slammed at 2A with work, doing a couple of side projects here and there and Finishing my next Genesis Project I've been writing a chapter in the upcoming "New Masters of Flash 2004" book being released by Friends of Ed. It was a lot of fun and I hope my chapter stands up to all the hard work that the other authors have been putting into their chapters. It was a lot of work. A lot of pulling hairs of what wording to use..and even what to talk about. Hopefully my subject matter is remotely useful to people who purchase the book. I've seen a few of the other chapters and they are definitely awe inspiring. This book has a great balance of Corporate Designers like myself, Animators and scripters. Should be a great purchase for everyone.

Along with the New Masters of FLash book I am also contributing artork to a German Design book and am being featured in a Brazilian Design magazine next month. All of the writing and being featured is an amazing honor and requires lots of work and attention in order to get everything in on time.

In addition to all of the writing I have so far accepted 2 speaking engagements this year. First I will be giving a presentation deconstructing the Ford F150 site at Flash In The Can this weekend. In addition to that I will be sitting on 2 panels discussing various topics like inspiration amongst things. www.flashinthecan.com Later this year I will be speaking at the AIGA Multimedia Conference in Miami, Florida. Both should be a blast and I'm looking forward to meeting people I've looked up to for a long time.

So..thats about it... please though..lets not have any more of these type of posts. I'm not a rock star. I'm just shane lets not ask on a message board where I've been.

Sorry man. I dont usually visit the coffee lounge unless my name comes up in a search or I am directed to a thread like I was with this one.

Oh well. No worries. not a big deal. No offense man but I've had people use my name before to try and get things from other people. I've even had people impersonate me in chat rooms. Gots to be careful out there. Just being cautious didn't mean to offend you.
