I work for a real estate company. Here are some that I've done:

    www.utahsagent.com

    www.buildingconcierge.com

    www.gregadamson.com

www.bobgledhill.com <-- don't ask me about this, its what he wanted, lol. This site actually generates 2 sells a week from online hits, and ranks quite high on google/yahoo.

A site that I'm in love with right now is:

    www.resionline.com

There is not even a single flash on that site.
YOu sure it ranks high in yahoo?
But that site is search engine friendly with all those H1 tags and contents.

Yeah, I asked if he wanted flash, he didn't. His main goal was to get hits on google regardless of how tacky it looked

According to what you described I assume he reached his objectives whic are getting lots of hits on google, getting 2 sales per week and pissing off webdesigners with the cheezy design.
But my alexa toolbar shows that his website ranked pretty low.
And I tried searching for the keyword for that site on google but couldn't find the site.
What are the keywords that people used to get to his site?

utah county real estate, riverbottoms real estate, provo real estate

(these are the keywords that use to rank high)

please note, that before his site use to be really high. Then he wanted DHTML drop down menu's, and since then his rank has been screwed.

I had to move back to the older version of the site, thats why there's no DHTML on there.

    congrats fancy pants.

for some reason his site doesn't rank as high SINCE the dhtml removal.

He will be fine after the next google update......

And he is no simple fella I think he knows about search engines.
That is why he requested for Cheezy design. Well he could have slapped one up using Frontpage. Maybe he wants it to be professionally cheezy thats why he got you to do it?
