looks amazing at 1280x1024, one of the best sites i have seen. Seems way to packed in at 1024 and below though, still a very good site though.

Classy site, some content doesn't seem to be up yet though, maybe it's not quite 'live' yet.

How did you get the IP address of this site, it's not on 2a

www.christopherlawrence.com works for me, I guess it's populating.

Exactly my feelings. Animation is nice, but it just feels cluttered, sort of loses any heirarchy of focus, they type of thing I might expect from ebay, but not a djs homesite. Techically executed nicely tho.

Anyone notice the sound control on the music player? When you click it it drops down and to the left, bug?

    2A "Christopher Lawrence"

I enjoyed reviewing the case study, and the "closer look" into the production.

However, with respect to the site itself, I felt the usability around the real estate on the page was unecessary, and the important content within the site fell secondary to the site highlights.

In other words, too much "fluff" surrounding the content. Still a well designed-site and do enjoy experiencing great detail, but secondary to main content. My first impression of seeing the site layout is "is this an airline ticket booking site?". These types of highlights should be secondary, and the primary highlight should be music, not airplanes. Even a better shot of chris actually spinning would be ideal, yet I realize sometimes clients do not provide great images and have to make due with your deliverables.

Cool Site? You bet. User Friendly? Almost.

    These are only my opinions.

Think the airplane is some sort of theme.

I find the site very 2A but not in a way of pushing it's limits.
It's more 2A in ways of recycling their product.

It's a DJ's site ... it's supposed to be about fluff! It's an entertainment site. What content can their possibly be besides a bio, where he's spinning, likes and dislikes etc. etc. ?
If you even go through the content, there isn't much to write ... because he's a dj.

The theme of the site is an airplane because the idea of the site is that he's a world traveling dj. As stated:

Christopher Lawrence is a travelling veteran. He travels the globe, appearing at world-class clubs and events nearly 3 times a week. 2Advanced Studios used this aspect of Christophers life to create a thematic website and an accompanying album design based around his travel-centric career. The strategy was to create a seamless brand that could be extended to print materials, event posters, and everything in between.

Don't get too wrapped up in site real estate, this site is meant to promote the fact that Christopher Lawrence is a world famous dj who travels all over the world. In this case, it's more about him getting an image across than really learning anything.

Christopher Lawrence's site is now fully dynamic, and offers a more immersive experience where fans can view a multitude of Lawrence-related media, from videos, to images, to audio streams.
The site is supposed to be "fully dynamic" and "immersive". It's not intended to be a simple listing of his biography.

I have to totally agree with the statements. Take away the title, and you'd completely think you were at an airline website. There definitely needs to be more content/color/pictures relating to his profession, and possibly more vibrant appeal to match his beat.

This site would get top remarks by me if this had been done by a 13 year old.

I didnt know this was 2A after i checked a 2nd time at the botton where i saw the 2A logo. I dont have many favourite site which is made by 2A but this is very well designed. I love it .

Funny how the site was great ... and then someone found out it was from 2A and all of a sudden it's great for a 13 year old.

I bet if this site was done by some young kid or a non-2A-FlashLevel-FI group, they'd get top marks across the board.

I'm beginning to think the review section here is getting filled with a bunch of bunk written by people with agendas ... all except for a few reviewers (who coincidentally are moderators).

Oh well. Human nature I guess.

I think it is pretty noticably 2a. It is apretty good but once again overly cluttered and none of the elements seem to fit together. It looks like there were either a lot of people working on it and were not communicating or that it is just unfinished.

I bet it's the 'Anti Futurist Consortium' who's behind this

Kidding, the site is good in it's execution but for a DJ it just isn't personal enough.
Looks like the latest virgin site who's highlighting some DJ on their frontpage.

There's also too much 'airplanes taking of' and too less 'personality' being shown.

To be honest I can't tell you anything about the style of music this guy plays. The only thing I remember is he travels an awefull lot.

In my opinion they did a way better job back then when promoting the seasonsrecordings label. More music less chit-chat.

But hey, that's all opinions you know. Still love their 'eye for detail' on all the sites they did and still do.
