    FireFox and Internet Explorer

i've recently installed firefox for a web browser and i've notice a significant increase in performance while viewing my flash on html templates than on internet explorers.
    why is this?
and is there a way i can opimize my internet explorer to enhance the performance?

    thanks in advance

I don't know any IE optimization techniques, but off the top of my head I would say those performance increases you've noticed in FireFox is the GECKO rendering engine vs the IE engine. I'm a FireFox convert myself, but the differences between the browsers is a pain, especially when dealing with CSS2.

i've also noticed a magnificent difference with animated gifs as well.
fire plays gifs in a life like manner while ie looks retarted.

i've made threads about this ie slow issue but i never really got direct answer

The plug-in for Internet Explorer is just plain slower. Visit:

and test it out on different browsers.
