    Flash & IE

This question is on the publish side of things.

Everything runs perfect from the swf file on my computer, but when posted on the internet, I've got a small but deadly bug.

When the movie is loaded for the first time, the loading sequence for the first talking head comes to a complete stop and doesnt continue like it obvouisly should. This happen when using IE 5.1 for mac. If I hit the refresh button, everything runs perfect until I get to another talking-head-loading-sequence.

A friend of mine ran it on Mozilla and said it worked with no problems, does that mean it's IE memory issue? And what can I do to avoid this problem, as most users have IE? Or is it more of a loading sequence problem. I can make to source available, if it helps.

I need to test my site on different browsers. If you could check out http://getinfocus.net and let me know how it worked for you, that would be awesome!
    thanks, Andy

Maybe I'll ignore it. Do you have any other browsers?

Thanks for checking it out, Andy

First of all, we are talking about IE for MAC, right? There is no updated version for Mac, nor will there be, because Microsoft announced it will no longer make it.

As far as your statement that most people use IE, that's true, but on the PC side, not the Mac side. I don't have any exact figures, but Safari, Mozilla, etc are much more popular on the Mac side than IE is. If your Flash movies work correctly in every browser besides IE on the Mac, you're probably fine.

ive just checked it on the browser that comes with realplayer and it still works fine, but i think that might be IE or Mozilla.

IE 5 for PC has the same problem, I think.

I dont really care if it works correctly on my computer, I need it to work for everyone else (PC). And most people have IE 5.

I just put in a little button that allows the user to jump ahead of the loader gets stuck, that may be my best option.

    Thanks!
