site check, about to go live

I'm about to launch my portfolio site, and I wanted to get some feedback. Please let me know your thoughts. I just have to add the concept section, and turn on the contact form.

    1) When you first enter your site, your Profile appears first, however the Profile menu is not highlighted. So highlighting it would definitely help to show that the user is on the Profile section and not think that it is a broken link when the click on it. Also it would help a lot if the menus are highlight to show which section they are in.

    2) In the Work section, the white text is not contrasting enough with the green background. It makes it very hard to read and someone who is color blind will not be able to read it.

    3) Your music player, on the lower left is hard to see that it exists. The grey coloring makes it seem that the music player is broken or inactive. It would help the user a lot if you made the player more prominent so that it can be seen clearly.

Overall, I like your site for its minimalist quality and simple design. Your site feels very uniform and i like the pastel colors you have chosen and the nature theme. I hope my suggestions are helpful.

I agree with nerve 03 abvout the sound controls looking very faint and "inactive . . but apart from that I think you've created a wonderful website. The cross fading of the images and the color change with every section is a truely y inspiring concept and it works beautifully. It makes the site feel very tranquil and relaxed. In addition, I think the layout and navigation is very well laid out and easu to use. Well done on an excellent site.

really well done. Of course, being that you work for Fidelity, you should be good =)

Like they said -- add a little color to the sound control area, or bring it out a little more. Great work, great color useage and a very sound concept. My girlfriend likes it too lol

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll be adding a few little things with the music player. I have the site up at the host, so you can see the finished version here.

Any other feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

beautiful design, the music player's buttons should be a little darker. I recomend also that your client listings should be put some other way like a dropdown list or something, also when you start to add more clients on that list you wont have any space left.

Great Site!! simple, smooth, and gentle.

I have 1 question. How do you do that transition?? If you click the "work" button, the current text, image, and background color fade out and the new ones fade in. how? are you loading external .swf's for every link? i've seen this done so many times, i really like it, but i don't know how to do it. Is it any similar to the transition i did here?

    www.statecollegepizza.com

I'm sorta new to flash, www.indiapavilion.net was my first site, and the top 1 was my second. I want to do something completely different with the transitions (like you did) with my next site.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,
    Baljinder

That's sweet. The animations need to be tightened up a bit, but this is excellent.
