Masking Dynamic text

I made a music player and I want to make the text scrollable. Which is easy however I want my text dynamic so I can easily update my site. What is the best way in flash mx 2004 to mask dynamic text? I read up a little on embedding fonts but have yet to find a site that actually tells me howto do this in flash mx 2004. Thanks in advance

Click on the text feild then in the properties panel click characters then a window pops up

click specify ranges
Keep the CTRL key pressed and select "uppercase" "lowercase" "numerals" "puntuations".
