mmh, no improvement that i could find on my mac. same "timeline does not show up when opening .fla on dual-display machine" - bug and a quick test with a big .fla showed absolutely no speed improvement from flash 7.0.1
i guess it's just another case of macromedia developing its mac software with less priority than the pc release. so i hope for all you pc flashers that your release has the promised improvements

The documentation included with Ellipsis is a massive update that includes new chapters, twice as many code samples, and complete rewrites of a couple of chapters.
why didn't they do that from the beginning?

But still the main problem with FlashMX 2004 (IMO) is still not fixed

However, the top complaints about components have been file size and skinning. Because fixing both of these issues requires a fundamental change in the component architecture, we were not able to address those issues in this release.

    is the 7.2 updater Beta?

So is this beta or finished product? I've heard mixed reports on this and it wasn't clear on MM's site. (Or at least I'm not looking in the right place).

Can you buy more user licences for flash or do you have to buy a new copy?

    Remoting?

Has anyone had problems with flash remoting or equivalents since installing the patch? I'm using phpObject (http://ghostwire.com) and ever since I installed the patch, phpObject won't fly...

    ** NEVERMIND **

updating to the newer version of phpObject fixed it... move along... nothing to see here...

none of the help files work in flash mx 2004 after i installed the update. anyone else experience this? i'm going to try reinstalling from mx2004 discs and then upgrade again.

    edit-
reinstalling from discs fixed it and didn't require the upgrade again, it's still 7.2.

    OS 10.3.4
    Flash MX2004 (upgrade)
then i applied the 7.2 update

help files work now, now my problem(annoyance) is this: when i am saving documents, the actions panel and the output panel obscure the save dialog so i have to move or close them each time. actually i haven't tested it but i would guess that all of the panels will obscure the save dialog. anyone else?

For some reason the updater can't find my Flash MX 2004. Do you think it doesn't work on Proffesional?

    ---**Nevermind**---

I think I figured out what the problem is.
