Your flash site is very cool. I even wandered how you caused the effect with the images and the panning effect?
-
Pretty neat, only thing i see you need to tweak is the spring sensativity. It tends to move to eratic. Lexus had a great example from the Minority Report movie. I guess they took it down.

One day I will understand this

I like everything except I agree with the post that said the movement was off. I might just slow it down a bit. It's too sensitive.

that jiont if off the chain ... yea i like that... but the movement with the tool tip might cause the font to blurr in and out.. maybe you can take the tool tip out of the mc that is causing the pan effect?. i dunno just a guess..I think slowing the pan effect down would kinda spoil it a lil so dunno if i agree with that one... but dammmmm now i wish i would have sat down and went through the maya tutorials videos i swiped from the company i use to work for... hummm i guess better late then never ...

thanks all of you to take out time and reply.
there is some work still left in the animation for the first page, like improving or rather chaning the notebook animation. i agree for the tooltip text blurring. it is beacuse they are pixel fonts. and pixel fonts need to be at rounded off pixel location values to look sharp ( like x : 34.0 and y : 56.0 ) when they are on fractional positional values they blur ( like on : x : 34.4 and y:56.7 )this is a predicament i would like someone to haul me out of.

Is there anyway you can take the drag off of the tool tip and just have pop up when it moves over a certin area.. ???

Nice site. Like the 3d environment. Tends to be very realistic and the colors are nice in opposite to lots of other 3d renders I've seen lately.
About the blurry fonts, just make sure they 'land' on whole integers.
You can use Math.round(); for that.
About the pixelfont itself. Don't know wich it is and you see it used alot lately but personaly I think it's one of the ugliest pixelfonts around. Doesn't really seem to fit in well with any site.
Have you tried http://www.miniml.com for fonts?

dude, nice site, love the heavy graphical elements, you are indeed a don of design.
flash daddy. well, not really. not at all in fact.......

english has been replaced by norwegian, click on the blue vilkommen to get the popup, no other changes made as yet

Very nice work there,, one thing though,, behind the character,,guessing thats you. You have red "screens" and they are in focus,, but the man sitting there is blurry and the background is blurry,,but thoose screens in the middle are not,,altough the focus is on the desk..

@bluefrost : that is an issue whoch i pondered upon.one solution which i had was whereever the user takes the mouse will be focused and the rest of the layers blurred, like a camera focusses ( depth of field ), but that would pose two problems:
1.additional bitmaps
2. it would lead to focus on me as a layer too, which i dont want, i want the guy to remain a mystery
well guess you can say that camera is a bifocal high end professional cam, so you can focus on two points, near and far at the same time, hows that!
