I have DSL and 3302KB was still too much for me to wait. I would have broken it down more and get the user in there looking at the content while more of it loads.

I agree with maksum. Otherwise, at least show a percentage while loading so peeps don't think their browser isn't doing anything...

Whooa. 3302KB. What you got in there. Are they your wedding pictures? Maybe you could reduce the size/quality of the images a little to bring down the overall size of the movie.

Why put the pictures into flash.

Just put all your pictures into 1 HTML page, so all your friends and relatives can view them without the need

    -for flash,
    -or DSL
    -or the patience.

    It finally loaded for me.
All I wanted to see were your pictures.
I didn't want to listen to music.

    Just me 2 cents.

    keep the splash page.
    It Looks Great!

Once you Enter, just have it load a regular HTML page with all the pics.

I'm sure your Grandma wants to see the pictures to...

    I agree w steiner...splash looks very nice.

    Why the big file size?

A better option would be to load the main site, including navigation, bits of information, and then load each gallery or picutre individually as the user cliks it.

    an idea...

    Awesome

Mate, that is probably the best wedding photo site I've seen yet. It IS a long load time, but what would you sacrifice to shorten it?
The page mouseover effect is superb! Works so well...

    Good job...

The blank screen when it loads is killing me (I'm on a T1 thats not shared with too many others at work). Only reason I stuck around was to see in the user "Goral" was right about worth the wait. It was! Excellent photography. I love the book style navigation. Through in a loading bar or some phrase stating somethings going on in the beginning so your friends and family won't think it's a broken link. Great photos and page design.
