Font woes
Hi
I am working with another company (they are using Macs) who are trying to send a font as a .fla file. They have included the font in the library and emailed it across to me.
However, when I open the .fla file on my PC if defaults to Arial. Are what we are trying to do possible? I have also tried to get them to embed the font in the .fla file by creating a dynamic text field on the stage and selecting 'include all basic latin glyphs', but this doesn't work either. We are both using Flash MX and Flash MX 2004 Pro.
Any help appreciated.

Perhaps the font they're using is only for Macs...I think there are some fonts like that..Mac only font's and PC only fonts...best you can do is try to find the same one, but for PC.

why don't you try to install the font on your computer? If they used a font in a .fla but it's not installed on your system in will not show.

ya adixx is on to something...i i think i may have read your post wrong....i thought you sed that they sent you the font, but it didn't take on yer machine...just have them send you the ttf file and put in your fonts folder...then you'll have it....unless it is a bizzaro font that only works on macs
