I had no idea it was that tired a subject. This isn't a "2advanced influenced" site, which is what I'm used to seeing here. They actually stole graphics directly from 2A.

In any event, sorry for beating a dead horse. There's an unusual amount of replies for a subject no one's interested in though. Why not just... not view the thread?

well, I think Flashkit veteran users forget ...

There are always new people to this site and new people to flash, and every once in a while it's good to bring up things like this because:

    a. discourages people from ripping
    b. shows them why it's bad
    c. encourages them to be creative

I think it should be pretty explanatory why not to post threads like this in 'coolsites'. If you read the guidelines, you'll see we only want threads about 'coolsites'. I don't think ripped sites would apply. Or maybe the guidelines should be edited to clarify that sort of point.

If you do like to look a ripped sites and read about copyright issues, I know the ultrashock forums have a section for that.

My problem is with people that complain when they have a choice. If you guys dont care then pick a different thread, close the browser window no one's pointing a gun to your head, if you took the time to reply then you care about not caring.

Anywayz back to the thread topic i think visually i dont give a rat's as* if they rip my work. You can take my creation but you can never take away my concepts/idea.

    Thank you, exactly.
I understand where they're coming from though, as a regular on a few forums. Kinda funny being in newbie shoes.

stevie, I did read the rules of this forum. Unfortunately, there's no forum on this message board for rip-offs, so you could say the same for whatever forum I would have posted this in.
This entire category is for posting sites. This isn't my site, so Site Check wouldn't be right. It's not a Member Site, so that rules out that. The only other forum in the site posting category is this one. http://www.mpcsounds.com/home.php rips off a "cool site," so I put it here. Sue me.

Don't feel bad dude. Someone yelled at me today for adding to an old thread because Fantasy Interactive is about to update their site, so I did a search and used an already established FI thread.

Then, someone yelled at me for bringing back old threads.

But if I posted a new thread on that subject, they'd have told me to do a search for it because it had already been posted.

    Go figure.

There is no forum on this board for posting ripped sites, that's deliberate. It's just our policy, to be honest a lot of people just get fed up with it, it usually ends up being a bunch of people talking about how they're going to flame or email bomb the site's owner, even though many times the site owner is a victim of an unscupulous designer. There are also legal issues for a company as large as internet.com (FK's owner).

If you want to discuss the design issues of 'ripping' I suggest you try the 'design and graphics' forum, or if you're more interested in the legal/business implications the 'boardroom' forum.

    Cheers.

www.ultrashock.com have a ripped sites forum.
