ya, nice logo effect. The typeface is a bit unreadable, I think there are some other pixel fonts that would work better.

I think version 3 was a way better site.

didn't have the popular aftereffect logo but reflexcted more personality and had some kind of concept. Two things I miss in this recent site.

i liked version 2 was it? the one with the motion sky effect on a white background.

but nonetheless you never cease to amaze me with your sites. i like them all because anyone can see how you have grown as a designer through the changes.

hmmmmm...not impressed, Ive seen this style waaaay too many times now its boring me. The color is dull and so is the design...not quite sure how it made it on 'cool' sites...its NOT cool.

I disagree with saying this site is not cool..
Though i can see where much of the design inspiration comes from (company not mentioned) the site runs fast..The elements arent clunky or slow.

All in all its good flashing. You might not like the design...but the flashing is good

and im sure it took along time...so..cool stuff...

Its very easy to knock stuff...you see it every day on the net.

Im not just a critic... I am a multimedia artist. I am in a position to have a strong opinion on things as I have been in the industry for 10 years and done many great things in the way of design. I was just being honest, you can have your opinion. The wonderful thing about design is that we all have our own ideals. Jamies work in my book is not what I consider to be 'cool'. I dont think his folio work is very strong, and that could be due to his experience in the industry, maybe not. I dont know his background, so I dont know. I have seen this style used so much to the point now that its over used and going out of style, does this make sense? I dont think 'oh, wow...cool' I just think 'hmmmmmm'.

clews, maybe you could have chosen better wording on your first post, but thanks for clearing it up in the second post. just out of interest, could i see some of your work?

JBOMBER, im influenced by more than just one company, but why do people look at websites now looking for the slightest similarities to the bigger people in the industry? cant you just view my site on face value and not say "well 2a used little crosses" or "2a used diagonal lines" or "2a use text". Its getting the point where its a little pathetic and you cant do anything without someone else being mentioned as an "influence".

If you planning to stay with this site for a while you might consider not using ALL CAPS for bodytext. It bleeds the eyes when there' an amount of content to read.

Liked the simplicity, and the ae anim, even though a little overused, was great. One thing that I felt didnt fit in with the site was the center logo. Is that the pencil shade photoshop filter? Looks out of place with the vector layout. Just leave it be with its natural flash look, and it'll line in much smoother with the rest.
