Blinky Blink

Hey!

Does anyone have tips on how to make cartoon charcters blink!? I really love the smooth movement that Chris Georgenes uses on MudBubble. Any ideas how this can be achieved?

it looks like the eye lid is masked, and the mask moves from top to bottom and then back.

u need like 4 frames for a blink, just frame by frame it... geez

Just an instant single frame blink seems like it'd do the job...

Thanks for getting back to me! I actually quite like that style of blinking....it's over the top and unmistakably animated. I'll mess about with masks and see if I can pull it off!

frame by frame, is the best way to go.

You can download some animated characters from my website at the download section. Some of them have blinking eyes. Maybe that will be of some help.

Thanks.....but I've got it cracked now! It's a little slow as the file is at 12fps when it should be 24! But....you get the idea!
