Don't see export to FLV option?
On my work machine we have Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Professional installed, however, I do not see it as an export option in Quicktime Pro; do I have to do a special installation specifically for the FLV exporter? Thanks in advance!

The .flv exporter is in the library. Import your video to Flash, then select it in the library and use the library menu tab to find "export .flv".

are there any PARAMETER settings for FLV export from mx pro??
thats very tricky, I don't think I would have figured that out.
1)you import your video file into the library.
2)you double click it, and then click "export"
3)it makes a FLV
but...where are all the PARAMETERS
like in quicktime pro????
can I install the FLV exporter to QTpro7.0.2?????
or no...
works great with QT6.5.2 pro
I'm scared to install QT7 pro because
I might lose that FLV export function
which works GREAT in QT6.5pro
and has all the parameters which you can set...
thanks in advance to anyone with ANYTHING on this subject
I'm guessing you need Flash 8 to install FLV exporter to QT7pro
and I don't have Flash 8 yet...

I doubt if you'll see Flash 6 or above content on QT, it's a competitor at this point...
As far as .flv options, you can only set those on import - all you are doing is exporting the .flv file you created when you imported it.
If you need a better exporter try Sorenson Squeeze or Wildform's Flix.

THANKS wheels
I think compression master might win the battle for pro encoder
the others are falling WAY behind I think.
flash 8 seems to make progressive files
but I can't find a "progressive" option in the FLV exporter..
I can't imagine why they would leave that option out..
I'm making every FLV with flash 8
rather than running a batch (and getting some sleep)
does anyone know if FVL export 8
does progressive?
I've looked everywhere
I did a search for "progressive" in the FLV exporter help...
it found "NO RESULTS"
so I don't think the FLV exporter 8 does progressive...
the files I'm doing in flash8 actually don't seem to be very progressive
they really seem to be just streaming normally...
it really doesn't feel like PROGRESSIVE
do I need FCS to get these working progressive?
it actually says "progressive for http server"
or something like that
so it should be progressive, on our darwin server
but it starts up too quick to be progressive I think...
shouldn't progressive take a second to start playing a 7 mb FLV...
from the server...
I have DSL, but still...
