City Lights
This site is a free geocities site which has been through a few incarnations, the latest using swish lite quite extensively. An unanticipated advantage of using swish lite on geocities is that it blocks out the adverts that otherwise impose themselves on every single page of their sites.

Question:
Are these poems written by the homeless?
Or are they "homeless" in the sense that the authors cannot find a publishing house?
"It isn't working!"
"Hmmm...Did you jiggle it!?!"

The pieces were collected from people attending writing group workshop thingies held at the distribution offices of THE BIG ISSUE IN SCOTLAND in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They were homeless people.

Just so that you know, some of those popups still occur, but much less with the use of swish lite.
Continued luck with your project. I actually spent some time since my last post to you, going through the site completely, and I am quite impressed with the material.
Makes you wonder...

Thanks for interest and comments.
I've noticed the advert thing. It used to work 100% but Geocities have obviously upgraded somehow. swf files still overide them if it's just the swf file in the frame or window but if it's an object in an html page the ads get through now. The trouble with invoking the swf files directly is they need to load completely before anything at all appears. That's fine for small files but larger ones leave the screen blank for too long.
I hope you didn't miss MY OWN STUFF It used to be on the city lights site but I moved it.

Sorry, I did miss it, but I will check it out tonight.
As art is very personal and subjective, I may or may not comment on the content, but I will comment on the design and working of the site.

geocities has upgraded it's system for imposing ads AGAIN on its free sites and it's totally screwed up the way I had the city lights site set up. I'm still trying to decide how to accommodate the new development.
In the meantime, its a complete mess, I know, thank you.
