open protected swf

Hi

I am trying to open an swf file with flash mx. It has been protected from import. After several frustrating hours downloading various swf software all i have managed to do is open it in flash mx with no actionscripts. Is there any way I can open this file in flash mx so it can be changed easier.

to put it simply no. if you import an swf into flash no actionscript will be imported.

you will have more luck using a swf decompiler application - swf scanner , asv, swf decompiler.

do a search in this forum there are a large amount of threads about it

just a side note: this behaviour does not depend on whether the swf is protected or not

I also face this problem!!

The solution is use decompiler to decom-pile but u dont get the exact script

or

may be u r import higher ver. file to lower ver. player !!!
