looping (help)

am using flash mx am new to this i have created a picture added timeline affects but when i save the picture it just keeps looping I have tryed everything i can think of just cant seem to get it to do it once

please remember i am new to this prog so take me through it slowly eg

- if you don't already have one, create a layer named "Action" (make sure it's as long as your movie).
- in the last frame of that actions layer add a keyframe (F6).
- with that keyframe selected, open your actions panel and add a stop action (or type in "stop();" without the quotes).
