    Drop Down Menu

If I am making a drop down menu for a website, do I need to make each individual button its own symbol?

If you can help, thanks in advance.

If they don't have the same basic look, then yes!

Okay, then my next question is this. I want to have 4 diffrent oblects and when the mouse goes over them, i want the menu to appear. The problem is, the menus are too big for the height of the frame but if the frame is too big, it looks a bit awkard with the object at the top and all that space where the menu will open. Is there a way that I can make the frames overlap where a menu, when fully opened, can extend into another frame? If you can help me in any way, please do!

...and one more thing, Old Newbie, on your Drop Down Menu, what is the purpose of the 'openSheild'? Exactley what does it do?

You can't overlap from one frame to the other, but that's not only Flash, it,s a n html restriction...
But the menu can be transparent and drop over other html content, if in the same frame.

And there's no "openSheild" in my dropmenu.
