    question on Action script to detect when Mouse leaves Flash area

    Long title, but Search here is being difficult (timing out with a 404 page)
    I have a button that covers my entire stage with an action script of:

    Code:
    on (rollOver) {
    	gotoAndPlay("start");
    }

    But I would also like it to do the same if it detects that the user's mouse leaves the flash area on an html page.

    What would the action script be?

    Can't do it from Flash alone, you need javascript detection code on the html itself, and the movie has to be on a layer/division.

    That's odd.

    I have a flash/swf that does that, but I dont understand the coding too well.

    Basically, its an image scroller that continues to scroll, when someone clicks on a thumbnail and it opens a new window. the Scrolling stops when someone mouseovers the thumbnail to click on it. When the mouse leaves the area (roll off or when the pop-up window opens) the scrolling continues.

    Do you want to see the code on this swf/flash?

    But the scroller is within the movie area, and I'm sure there must some space between the scroller and the actual boundaries of the whole movie, so that the rollOut is detected.
