    Brightbox - from Site Check....

I found this one in the site check forum. A pleasant surprise from a very humble designer...nice work.

The frame rate appears a little choppy but i'm nit picking. Lovely design with some brilliant work in the portfolio.

I really enjoyed browsing this site, nice post

Budget makes a good point here - the site is original, it's one of the most refreshing posts I've seen in a while.

The colour pallette is nice and balanced (always a sign of a good eye for design) and the interface encourages you to explore further - the only gripe i have is that when you drop a cube onto the platform you have to click "open" - it just seems a step too many if you know what I mean(?).

It also gave me a wry smile that the guy actually posted this in site check - it's a refreshing change to discover someone who can actually walk the walk hasn't disappeared up there own a**e.

It'd be cool if the designer would join in this thread, I'd be interested in his reaction to theis post.

Another reminder that this community has some talented folk and one of the reasons I still frequent this board after a good few years

nice and original. Only thing id change is when you drop the box, have it open automatically instead of asking if we want to open or close, because id say if they selected it they want it open.

Nice style though, fits music really well too

I like it, fresh and well made. I would suggest having a quick link menu at the bottom for the sake of usabilty. Other than that, great job

unique. haven't seen anything like it at all. unique.

as for the first part... the other stamps looked a bit fuzzy... especially with the font...

just a bit more clarity on the first part would help.. i mean the preloader.

now to play the bad guy...

site was just "good" for me.. about 7-7.5/10

the content and sections worked well and looked nice. (except for that ballon...????...point?)

but the navigation (to me) was futile....if I already go through the effort to read what the section is on rollover of the square,,decide I want to see that section and drag/drop it to the load "point"....why on earth would I want to click "OPEN" again? Didnt I just do enough to prove that I wanted to see it? (now another hoop?)

aside from that though..I think his creative skills are top notch (logo section, flash section, web design section)....

the only cons I see are the one mentioned above..and the fact that it didnt seem to maximize the space given to display his work/content.. more than DOUBLE was used for the navigation...

    still good work though..
