I know you can copy and paste the layers etc... but it becomes a pain when you have a really large project.

I would like to see most of all the ability for Flash to be able to act as a server by itself, so one person can connect to another person on another computer without the use of a server.

One good add is as follows:
A good one is to add the third axle. The Z.
Then we´ll have the X, Y and Z.
And we´ll make 3D effects.
Cos that´s the only thing that make us looking for some other programs like Flash effects!
So Flash would broke down all thoose other programs by including 3D drawing inside itself.

I wish for when I copy layers from one scene to another that flash also copies over the layer name from the previous scene as opposed to naming the layer "layer 32"

okay ive only used flash 5, but on install of flash 6 you should be prompted to choose which version of the actionscript window you would like. SO there problem solved..
Make it work for the user not the masses right.

To be able to optimize PICTURES or whatever in flash.
If it wasnt for the optimize feature in fireworks being so great I would never have to leave FLASH!@!.Right click a pic/optimize, boom theres the settings..talk about easier to get your filesize down once youve completed a project and then you realize it 350kb'S...plus if you place a pic in now and do things with it Tween, etc.. then you need to optimize it more later, youre stuck redoing the whole thing!!!

Please stop blurring my TEXT macromedia.
To have to follow all these stupid steps to get it clear PLUS find the correct size!!!!!!!Notepad does a better job of displaying text on the WEB than flash does..(HTML No worries there on how your text looks)!!!!!Why does it do this??????Why does it matter if its not on a whole integer???? WE're you skimping in the programming or is it a speed issue ?????
Oh well...Im finished....
wait no im not I have to save my flash as swf, import it into dreamweaver, use the transparent setting, create a table, place my swf, then place my HTML text on the page to make it clear?...

Thanks for letting me vent its just driving me crazy...

hey there - i dont know if that was mentioned before (this thread got a little bit heavy ) but a little simple thing would be the ability to play soundsamples quicker or slower, so you can vary the sound whithout loading a new file (my game just needs one sample thats a note or two higher and i´d be fine)

How about just an option to turn off anti-aliasing for text when you export/publish? Or even multiple quality levels. If you publish in low quality, your text looks good, but the rest is usually destroyed.

The audio side of flash could use some work, or better yet, why not give flash the ability to generate and recieve smpte and mtc time code. This way you could let your multitracking \ recording software do all the audio work you need. Once your done making your audio file, mix it down to wav. or aiff. and import into flash. booom! that would be fat
