efficiency question with flash and AS
I'm trying to make a simple movie where the camera moves between a few boxes. The perspective changes, and in AS i wanted to script it so that i can rollOver etc,. There are images on the boxes so i have to Raster render it. problem is, that when it's rastered it comes out 100% jpg, and i can go back and Lasso out each individual box, but that's going to take days, can someone help me find out what method would be the most efficient? or is there anyway to do it in swift?? thanks!

in swift when you render you have a quality slider. just set the slider to about 80% (or whatever you want) then render, then import.

Do what? Are you looking to get your boxes on a transparent background? If that's the case then export to .PNG instead of .JPG.

basically what it all comes down to, is that i'm trying to get the individual boxes into it's own symbols, but i would have to go and cut every individual frame out and have symbols for each new movement. is there anyway to speed/enhance this process?

why do you want each box to be in it's own symbol?

Then you will have to render each box separately.
What you're trying to do and how you have it grouped together in your question is initially impossible with just one MC.
As one MC, the boxes are not one object, especially in the raster mode of rendering. They will be just one pre-rendered movie. Any AS you apply will affect the whole movie. Not just a box. They're not going to be separated out as such.
Render a sequence to test that, if need be.
You might look into the more cumbersome method of rendering multiple MC's.
