    swf as Quicktime in MACs

    Hello:

    I had created a flash movie using a PC (MX on Windows XP) and published as an swf. Opens great on pc's but on my office's macs, the swf's try to open as quicktime movies. In the "publish settings" area, only the "Flash (.swf)" checkbox is selected. All the macs have all the current player versions.

    Anyone experience this before?

    Are you accessing the movie through a website or are you trying to run the swf files directly?

    Directly. The project will eventually become an interactive CD.

    The reason you can not run them then is because the computers do not have flash installed. You need the actual project player installed to run the files directly, not just the flash plugin.
