Natural Blowing Wind Animation
I'm animating a scene with grasses (actually a wheatfield) blowing in the wind. I'd like help on how to achieve a natural wind blowing effect (I've illustrated the wheat stalks and placed them but getting the animation looking natural/realistic is tough).
Thanks in Advance.

the best way of animating grass is frame by frame animation. i know it is tough but, that's the way it is.
now check the "brackenwood" series:

both done frame by frame mostly. and with incredible grass effects.
www.biteycastley.com is his site, you may try contacting him.

Thanks for the help, I'll consider this option but It'll be a lot of work doing frame-by-frame for a large wheatfield of individual stalks.

well this guy actually doesn't make individual stalks, but plain color and animate some sort of wind blow on top of the grass color.

You might find the grass animation helpful.

one easy way,
it may work
first==>>creat one graphic of grass with, animate with giving motion tw. (optimise the tween)
2nd==>>put it on main stage.
3rd==>>create copy of the graphic, give another starting frame number. repeate the step 2nd and 3rd.
give every time some differrent starting frame number
after 100s of multiplications u will get animation like wind is blowing thrugh the field
may god bless all life forms in the universe.
