Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I was starting to see the letter 'R' in my sleep...(smiles).

Also, with your permission, as this is the sitecheck forum, I would like to mention the site to a local school. It is an elementary school on a college campus that teaches teachers to teach students who may have minor to moderate learning disabilities, like delayed speech, etc.

I only ask, because I can mention it to them with or without the following statement.

I have limited access to the site designer, and they are looking for usability feedback. Now, that is not to say that you have to redesign your site specifically for them, I think it is fine the way it is...however, it would be a great multi-class project for the students to view the site, get responses from teachers as well as students on ease of use, other usability issues, what they like or dislike, etc.

Or I could just mention the site as a place to go.

If this is all just too much, just let me know, it is just that I think your site has a lot of potential for yourself, as well as the community your site can serve.

(Sorry, not trying to push and did not want to come accross as a baby kissing politician.)

Go ahead. And FYI, my now 20 year old son was a special ed student. He has Tourette Syndrome. (Syndrome means vocal and motor tics, ADHD, and OCD)

His problem was 'disgraphia' problems with fine motor control...handwriting.

That is what the program that is available for download has no 'bells and whistels', no distractions.

Oh, and a few notes about any usability studies: (Which would be great!)

    • Must have newer browser - The site was coded to standards using XHTML and CSS, and will not work properly in ancient browers. (This is why the help page is there)

    • The online coloring book is not just click and flood fill, for two reasons. First I have no idea how to do that, and even if I did I don't think it would. I think hand action with the mouse can help strengthen weak fine motor skills.

    • There will eventually be more drag and drop spelling games{?) added, but that will be awhile in coming due to cleint obligations.

    • In the future there will be a new flash feature that helps teach states and capitals. I have the map ready, but this one is going to be time consuming, so it'll be awhile in going live,

Thanks for the info and prompt feedback. Hopefully you will find the information I compile useful in someway. At a later date, I will either forward you the teachers info, but at this time I do not want to innundate you with emails from six teachers and 40 students.

I will keep in touch with you and will not pass your contact info out to anyone without checking with you first.

Again, nice work, I hope in some way the info we gather can help further your success and work.
