is there something wrong with it?
Hello,
I'd really appreciate some feedback on my
relaunched site.

Up and Comer
i like the look your site has. the colors are pretty unique, and the marble like pattern you used is a nice touch. to me it looks like the font used for SET 1 - 5 is the same as the one in the bottom right hand corner of the site, only not as tall. i'd stretch those buttons out so that they're proportionate with the ALEX text. also, the site is a little too big for a 1024 x 768 screen (which is about the norm now), which brings up unnecessary scrollbars. scale it down slightly and that would be elimated.
good site, great photos on there too

thank you.
I just resized it and it should be fine now.

Plain, but plain is not always bad. I love the background texture. Maybe consider some transition effects, even if its as simple as opacity fade in/out or something. Looks good though!

Really like it. The only thing I would do is put a tiny little info above the < and > buttons like 'image x of xx' because it wasn't exactly clear what that was doing... so if i click on set 1 i know there are xx images in that set and i am viewing x / xx. i think just x / xx above the <> nav would keep with the simplicity and elegance you have going on here.
transitions look fine. everything else is great!

Thanks for your posts.
I also saw somepeople not using the arrows to browse within the sets. The x/xx- idea is really good. Thanks.
I am kind of frustrated now because
most of my friends tell me that they liked my old site better.
you can find it here: http://www.alextrebus.com/v2
Do you people agree that I should stick with the old one? It was so much work to do the new version...
Let me know please.
thanks.

no way. new one is far superior. with a black backgound, your photos with black edges bleed off into the site.. that isn't right.
