import Poser models
Hi, pre-noob here,
(Can't get any newer than that)
Thinking about buying Swift 3D. Looks great.
Can I import Poser models into it? Or, already made models and animations from Cinema 4d?

It's been a severely long time since I last used Poser, but you can export anim's and models as *.3ds from within Poser 4 and up, correct?
If so, *.3ds can retain animation over a timeline. And those should work within Swift3D without incident.
Sorry I can't answer 100%, I just no longer have the access to Poser as I once did.

i got poser 5 and the models import. don't know about animations though. i know it will export a .3ds with all the bones separate so you can do simple animations in swift.

Sorry guys, you import static Poser models, but not animations since they are dependent on mesh deformations and these are not supported in Swift3D. An animated Poser model would have to be imported frame by frame.
