I'm brand new here, and after a little research, have been told that SwishMax is suppose to the easiest to learn. But I could really use some help or a little example of what I want to do.
Basically, all I'm looking to do is take some text. And then have sortof like a light flash across the text, and to have the text change into a new word.
I picked up the SwishMax Bible, and am looking through the index and such, trying to see if I can figure this out without having to spend the next month trying to read the book and learn at snails pace. I think I at least have to break things up by letter so that each each letter when flashed over will change to the new letter to form the new work. I am the right track there at least?
Again, I know its alot, but I'm just looking for perhaps an example of something that I can play with. I'm best at just playing with software, and learning the menu's and features.
So, say we take the work
xaMhsiwS
and after the light flashes across it, it turns into
SwishMax
I'm off to dig the web for some tutorials, as I try to see what I learn from the book as well.
Sorry for the long delay in responding, and thanks for the help. What you showed me I've already figured out how to do, which unforunately isn't what I was trying to do. Let me try and re-explain it.
I'm tyring to take a work, and to have each letter, when a ray of light passes over it to change into a new letter. So, perhaps like this.
naebyellej
jellybean
So, as the ray of light passes over each letter, the n will turn into a j, the a will turn into an e, and so on. I'm not looking to merely flip or spin the word.
I see the ray of light example in SwishMax, and I'm experimenting with that, but I've set to put it all together.
Again, thanks for taking the time to help out a newbie.
Hey. Just want to say thanks for showing me that. Its pretty close to what I'm looking to do. Basically, I think I just need to change it for a ray of light effect, and then to have it repeat.
