"Oh" one last thing, now that I have added the keywords to the page, should I submit my site to yahoo and google again?
-
If you have already submitted your site to the search engines, that submission should suffice and your site should be indexed. As things continue, you should see your site start to to move up the search level.
Keep us posted with your progress as things proceed.
As an additional note: Google has flushed their olded the cache for all of the indexed searches they had prior to December. I am not sure of the date, however, many that had listings are re-listing their site.
If your site was submitted 8 months ago, you may want to resubmit it, and try to get a few visitors from different locations to do a search for your site.
Thinking out loud: "I am not sure if one exists, I will send an email to Ms Pamela and find out if there is a thread on submissions to search engines. This is something that I am also very interested in. I will do a little research and get back to you here, or in an email if more appropriate. If I get some good stuff, maybe we can have an area under the SwishSiteCheck for help for us Swishers with the best way to submit for search engines. Okay, I am done thinking out loud."
"It isn't working!"
"Hmmm...Did you jiggle it!?!"

Any information on the subject will be greatly appreciated. You can contact me here, or through my profile or the website, which ever you think might be apropriete. The folks over at site-reference.com are pretty savi when it comes to this sort of stuff. I've read some good material at that site and have learned a few things. You might want to check it out, if you havent done so already. I will keep researching on the subject as well, and will keep you informed.
Have a great day, Todd

Here is all I could find in RE: search engines and SWF files
Flash & Search Engines
and here is a download from Macromedia for Flash Search Engine SDK
Flash Search Engine SDK
The Macromedia Flash Search Engine SDK provides a set of object and source code designed to convert a Flash file's text and links into HTML for indexing. The SDK download contains a C++ application, documentation, and editable source code for system integration into your search engine.
Hope this helps you guys!
