    Slow Frame Rate

My flash movie is set at 12fps but runs at around half the speed it should. This is proving to be a problem when trying to sync my sound to it.

Anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening and/or solutions

    Thanks

Better to run it at 30FPS or so. And set the sound Sync option to Stream, instead of Event. Setting it to Stream will cause the flashplayer to drop frames from the animation layer to keep it in sync with the sound.

The sound file has to be inserted into a layer on the same timeline as the animation you want it to sync to. You will see a long blue jagged line representing the sound. Click on that and in the properties panel, find the Sync dropdown and choose Stream.

The sound file has to be inserted into a layer on the same timeline as the animation you want it to sync to...

...And you must insert as many frames on the timeline as needed to see the whole sound's modulations.
