improvements:
1.blurry fonts on the front page. round the axis up to xx.0
2. the "intializing" thing is blurry too.

1. fonts are at xx.0 axis, could be color of the fonts against the background, i don't know
2. 'itilializing' IS blurry while page is loading, but glad you can still read it.

People's Art means exactly that - 'People's Art' but then there's your people, my people, their people or mao's people... but who's making the boundaries my friend...

Those graphic what they are ! good graphic first, and it's normal you are under fascination for the inner quality of those images and for sure you are, one the billion graphic designer fascinated by them , and using them for t_ shirt, stickies and whatever else as Warhol do it thirty years ago. thirty years ago. thirty years ago . thirty years ago...

But whith this kind of icons sometimes it could cause painfully reaction for some people you must keep it in mind. You are graphist and you know the power of the images in the human society.

yes, i did over-reacted a bit cos it was a long day (and night) for me i suppose......

why such a big issue with those icons...and why can't you look at it the other way bihan? they can also serve as REMINDERS of what happened in the past, for us to learn and NEVER to allow the same mistakes to happen again... the very same reason why history (instead of 'life of santa clause') is being taught to kids at school... and here's a funny little example for you :

had a big arguement with my girlfriend (well, my wife now) and stomped out of the house. next day she returned with a drawn image of ME on her t-shirt and still wasn't talking. you know why? she said she wanted everyone in the street to stare me in the face for being nasty and she didn't have to look at my ugly face either... this is called ATTITUDE man, get it? wearing a moa or lenin t-shirt doesn't neccessarily mean the guys are being worshiped... rather, it can be quite the opposite to spark off some kind of reaction or awareness in society... you reacted strongly didn't you.

as designer of the site, i had no such noble intentions though. i'm simply a big FAN of commie propaganda art, not just the moaist ones, also the soviet and amongst my collection, cuban ones are my favourite for their use of colors and shapes. i love them for the directness, boldness, strengh and irony (the lies behind them can sometimes be humorous to the educated mind as well) as a form of "in-your-face" visual communication... i was deeply inspired and influenced i guess, but by no way it is an indication to my political belief... if i've offended you or anyone with my images or expression, fair enough, hit the EXIT button... but i'm not apologizing for my work, bihan.

hope we can put the icon issue at rest now.

i'm really touched and flattered with the fact that you actually spent time over the past 2 days going through my work in detail. why the pop ups? ok, all the content you clicked are independant projects done at different periods with different resolutions, frame rates and flash versions etc etc... it is only sensible to open them in separate windows unless you can suggest a better solution without having to have large amount of files converted and redone to load into the main movie. same reason why i put a message in the splash page to warn people of the popups, also in case that user's popup blocker is switched on and they do want to check out my work. for those that hate popups that much... well, you can't win them all, can you?... i know you strongly opposed but all the same, i DID managed to interest you enough to click open all my popups even multiple times didn't i?

lousy dad is a self-guilt expression, look up the word 'lousy' in the dictionary... that's how i learnt my english as well.

great that spring is coming soon to you my friend, i'm glad for all of us.
