...wooooaaa! Sorry to make everyone so mad in a hurry. The only reason I posted this website is to get constructive criticism, no matter how harsh - and I think I've taken it pretty well so far.
I never claimed to be a master of design, and so far I've agreed to every critique given. However, I do think there is a polite way of critiquing someone's work.
A side from the technical stuff there are some eye sores that are giving me a headach. The over all size of the graphics seem to distract rather then draw in. You navigation arrows are bothering me to no end make them a bit smaller. The drop shadow is working against you its not really an added bonus, its just another design goof. It seems very photoshopish over all and thats never a good thing. The text graphics contained within the movie are difficult to read because of the styles applyed to them, I dont think thats what you are going for but who am I to judge.
...Just kind of seemed to me like he was going beyond "critiquing" with all the use of negative adjectives such as "headache", "eyesores", "bothering me", "design goof"...
What I said was not a statement of arrogancy, I just don't see how you can be so rude in your critique when your not producing anything better.

See I was never outright rude to you... That’s where you need to stop and think. I was simply giving you my opinion. If you want to blast me don’t blast me with some general comment that is aimed at insulting me, blast me because I have poor taste in color/style/typography/layout, don’t just come at me with I don’t take advice from people who design like that.
Let me break it down for you the way I see it:
You have lots of pixilated graphics very little consistency and your use of flash is very weak.
I might be ripping away at your site but at least I never directly insulted you.
I hit a nerve I can tell but that’s no reason to insult me. If someone posts something you don’t like ignore it, or at least think through what you are going to say. Taste is everything if you don’t like mine then take it like a man be silent and move on.
Attacking me on a site that I through together for $500 is cute. You did a real good job but its time you learn to play nice with the other kids. If you got something to say about my sites then post it in the thread that’s why I created it I want people to give me hard advice on what I can do to improve them.
When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

i just thought id add that the picture galleries were made exactly from photoshop...its automated like that, nice try though

thanks for the honesty

See, saying that and saying it gives me a headache are two completely different things. It just makes it seem more like a personal attack - like it's beyond bad, now it's just giving physical ailments - lol.
I have a saying, "I don't take advice from fat people on how to lose weight." I wasn't trying to attack you with your site design - just trying to say you're being awfully criticle for someone who doesn't look like they produce much better. Maybe you do, if so, put it up so people can see you know what you're taking about.
You're right - all the graphics are pixelated. And the picture galleries are all automated (which I was never really trying to keep a secret)- thus the reason why they look so plain. But with limited time, limited budget, and limits to design because of the clients who will be using the site - some things are not going to be "state of the art".
I appreciate all of the critiques - and will change as much of them as possible. - Its kind of funny - no one would critique the site until I made that comment. - I guess that's how you get people to critique your stuff.
...I still think it's not bad though considering it's the first site I've ever made and I'm teaching myself Flash as I go. - But hey, every master starts as a beginner.

Ok ..I was going through this post and I thought to myself this guy is pretty cool to handle all the comments on his work .. But all that changed when I got to this post.... I have to admit that I don't to much like this ZEROINSPIRATION guy but that html site he made looks about a billion times better then this trash of a html site you posted...
Sorry for calling it trash but i hate html sites to start with but for you to talk about this guy ZERO like that... come on you can't be serious.... anyway

OOO wow and Lenny hates me we got into it bad several moths back haha I’ve sparked a revolution!
Man for real though I don’t need to prove anything to you I’ve made sites better then that and the people here have seen them. But I don’t recall ever seeing anything stating that having an uber site under my belt would make me eligible to have an opinion.
Like I said take it like a man and squash it. No one cares what you though, forget what you thought. Fact I never out right insulted you, it might have seemed as if I was trying to because of the "Negative comments" (ahh big bad words made him angry) but I never did and anyone can see that.
Its an ugly industry, if you cant take my minor hazing your going to get chewed up and spit out when someone comes right out and tells you your works no good and there is nothing you can do to improve it. That’s the kind of thing that sets myself and the rest of this community apart from people like you. We take our licks but use that as a driving force. Hell yeah I want to be better designer and be able to say that I produced the next big design clique. But at the same time Ill be real, and understand that I’m going to suck it up for years.
On a side not and a bit of comic relief, why is it that the argument threads always end up with me and or Lenny in them? We change positions quite often sometimes we are blasting each other, other times we are defending. Can’t say I care for him as well simply because of my experience with him in the past but it’s all about respect, and he has mine.
Ill wash my hands of this situation with the nice guy pose (thats a Naruto refference for everyone that didnt get that)

all seriousness
Thanks for all the feedback on the site
I know this is probably the wrong section for this question, but I figure since everyone is now looking at this thread due to the drama - this would be the best place to find the answer...
I need an online tutorial on how to make a complete website out of Flash. Or if someone can give me a quick "crash course" - I would greatly appreciate it.
