Silhouette Video In Flash

In flash, their are some sites with a video/animation of a Silhouette person walking or doing some task.

To make that animation/video, would you:

1) Shoot the video on a blue/green screen, take out the background and adjust the contrast to make it black ?

OR

2) Create the animation by hand. Frame by Frame?

OR

3) Some other way?

Any ideas on this situation would be awesome

Hi.
The easiest way is to shoot against a blue/green screen.
You can then adjust the color to create a silhouette.
Many people use Flix Pro's vector video output to do just what you are describing:
