    video in flash

    Does anyone know the difference between flash mx 2004 and flash mx pro 2004 when it comes to using video ie if I am designing a flash site which features short movies which do i need??

    Hey, if money is no object, you may as well get Pro. But either, or even MX will handle video.

    What kind of video are you talking about using?

    they are 3g phone movies, ranging from 30 second clips to 2min 30 in length. I assume I will just have to export the movies from final cut or something similar as a flash movie, If you have any tips I would be really grateful

    Hi there,

    as far as im concerned, youve got some several xtra options in the Pro version. You can edit the quality, gamma, cropping, scale, sound etc. in this version. Havent seen it in the normal MX version, me thinks?

    I use other software to edit movies before bringing them into flash. Sorensen Squeeze for the movie files, Adobe Audition for the sound. Then bring them into flash. You can do more with those programs than anything built into flash. but, I need them for commercial projects. MX 04 Pro can do a lot though.
