Why are my vector images jaggy?

Notice the logo in the top left part of the page: http://caillouette.com/Deadsite3/

I converted the vector text to paths and for the gradient effect I have a white vector text with outlines converted to fills and below that I have a white vector text which creates the white outline for the black text.

But I can't figure out why it's not clean.

If you zoom in, it's clean, but you zoom out it's jaggy.

    thanks
I'm only in it for the pleasure

It's because the line is slightly sloped (and thin on top of that). There's simply not enough resolution for it to appear smooth. When you zoom in the line is thicker, which makes it a lot less noticeable.

My advice would be to try to make the line completely horisontal or increase the line thickness a bit.
