can you let me know what you all think of this bands site im making? I'm about half way through with the design almost complete and the sound & songs to be added. just wanted some feedback to check I'm going in the right direction

it looks like a good start and has got the feel of the band as far as i can see (although i have not herad the music)

If it was me making the site i'd do the following:

1. make the text on the pages a little smaller - it looks about 13 in size at the moment. perhaps try 12 or even 11

2. on the pics page of the band, i'd give all the pictures the same dimensions because at the moment, the different sized pics make things look a little unbalanced.

3. on the fans pictures page i notice you have put you instead of your.

design concepts are needed badly.. this looks like the sites that people build when they learn html for the first time, i'm not trying to be harsh just insiteful, check out www.purevolume.com there you will find tons of inspiration for band sites there are some really good ones... the more sites you check out and imitate the better you will get at getting your own style

sadly i kind of agree somewhat with visualstylee.. that cd cover art (if that is what it is) in the upper left looks cool.. maybe, but it is too little, i cannot really see it, i would like to see some more of that, higher res right up front..

i don't like the underlined times new roman menu. choose a sans-serif font or use a grungy gif font for the menu.. fans page idea is cool, but make it so i can blow up those little thumbnails... i want to see jess a little closer

i think overall the text / copy needs cleaned up and maybe even minimized.. the opening paragraph, actually the opening sentence is horrible..

and above all load some mp3s in flash for christsake and let your music do the talking... i hope you play better than you write...

and to mr. visual stylee if you make cool band websites worth a couple bucks, why don't you post them on your url???

Thanks everyone for your comments, I was thinking pretty much along the same lines anyway but I just needed it clarifying. I found out last night when I was looking at it on my brothers computer that the font I was using isn't on his machine so it went to default and looked pretty horrid, showed me I need some more back up fonts!

As for the content thats not up to me but I'll pass on your suggestions to the guy writing it and hopefully get things changed a bit.

ok, it just came off the wrong way to me. yea feel free to speak your mind. just this guy might be trying to make a buck or 2 himself and this forum is for critiquing design, not solicitation... it sounded to me like either a cheapshot or someone real hard up for work pimping without a clue.

i just moved to los angeles about 4 months ago to work with this company.. its not bad but i'd rather be doing stuff on my own.. yea the fatal1ty project was tyring and long but its gonna pay off because so many people visit that site..i think the averate unique visitor a day is 2000 right now and e3 is coming up in 2 weeks its gonna blow up.

we just launched it 2 weeks ago with the new design
