Themed Photography :: Week 12 :: FLOWERS

I think Mecha takes last week with his shot of his Grandmother. I have to question, though. what you were doing sneaking into your grandmother's room while she was sleeping. Hahahahaa, I can almost imagine you creeping up on her, tip, toe, tip, toe.....He He!! Great shot dude!

Well, Nords finally got me to change the weekly structure to Monday's, so I if there are problems I will be blaming him

O. K., by popular demand this weeks theme will be FLOWERS and FAUNA.

I expect waaaaay more participation in this week's theme than last week, so get out there and capture the beauty.

I look forward to seeing everyone's work.

This is NOT a PhotoShop battle it is a photography battle. Only slightly touched up photos may be submitted.
Let's keep the file and image size under FK guidelines (under 750 px wide).
All photographs must be related to the current weekly theme.
Photographs must be taken by the idividual posting (no stealing photos).
Use any camera (ie. cellphone, point-and-shoot, disposable) just submit!
Multiple submission are welcomed.
Photos must be no more than a week old. Take some NEW pictures people!

Very nice. I have a shot from my Hawaii trip. Ashame I didn't have a better camera (taken with my phone camera), otherwise I'm sure they would have turned out better.

i like shooting blooms when it's cloudy -- more color saturation, and less washed-out.
though, the sun does amazing things to any setting...

evp - sorry about my non-bloom photos.
i just re-read the theme, and i had been thinking it was FLORA and fauna.
but, racoons are ok, right?

Well, she tried to rest, she was half asleep, but my dog had same plans for that bed and jumped on. I was actually trying to push my dog off (It's not easy at all) when I saw this shoot. I told my grandma "do not move!", grabbed my camera and took this photo.

My mom didn't like it though, she forbid me to show it to grandma, said it will only upset her

I love this weeks theme, I'll try to come up with something, but I have no ideas at the moment

I should visit botanic garden, they say there is this fancy exhibition dedicated to Laura Bush's visit, I'll try to catch that

here's some fauna for you:

those are mole crickets, a nasty lawn wrecker found here in the south.
cooper and i 'hunted' them last night, and i snapped that shot before the birds got them.
they are NASTY!
poison and predetor resistant, you have to flush them out of the ground with soapy water then kill them.

<edit> EVP, i think we've all made the newsletter before...52 different battles a year is a lot!

Yeah, but this is the first time Themed Photography has been featured. We were getting over shadowed by March *cough* through May *cough* Madness.

He's still busy I guess... I think it may go into June Madness.

I have to agree,
I've seen blue flowers and (red ones),
but I've never seen them combined that way. It's a really nice photo.
(for some reason it reminds me of childhood)
What camera did you use?

BTW, I just got offered this really old (but working) Russian camera ZENIT

it was one of the best at the time. I don't know if I should buy it though (it's $160). I bet I could get some nice shoots with it

Anyone, any advice on this one?
