    Making Money ONline

As for most of us that freelance work can at time be sporatic.. i know it can for me. so how else can money be made online..well dammit i have tried it all below is a list of some of them how they worked out and so on..

    Google Adsense
I see alot of google adsense boxes on damn near every website i go to now.. when adsense first started i was buying expired domain names and putting adsense on them with search results from companies like search feed and search 123...did it work..yup i had about 20 domains and was making an extra 150 - 250 a month. pocket change if you think about it. Unless you own several thousand domains your not gonna make any real money ( example: an employeer of mine owns 3k domains.. he has hundreds of thousands of pages online.. makes about 8k a month from adsense.) so yes money can be made from it

    Expired Domains
Like what i mentioned above you can get these and put adsense on them and make a few bucks off traffic. or you can use companies like fabulous.com who priveds the content for them.. not huge money but it makes sure hosting is paid for and you can always resale.

    Affiliate Programs
Programs CJ.com and linkshare.com are such a waste of time. the retailers pay out very little i have seen commision as low as 5% .. thats crazy... so unless you have millions of hits a day your not gonna make much here either.

    eBay
Yup , been all over here too.. i would buy bulk dvds, and resell them, my wife would go to garage sales and antique stores looking for bargins. this is a tuff market to work in.. i never bought into any of those wholesalers for ebay lists or any of those scams.. bunch of BS imo. are best month was $900 in sales.. not bad.. but it started slow down with the summer moneths.. either that or we just wheren't getting the right items up there ..

    Casinos
i worked on casinos for about 6 months.. i tried ppcs, seo , exit exchanges damn near everything i could think of to make a buck with them.. worthless imo..will not try again

    Herbal & Rx
NOt bad but the market is getting tighter and tighter with restrictions.. the big money with this was made several years ago when they where not so hard on the online pharmacies. I have done pretty well with these especially since when you sign up a customer most places give you that customer for life so when he reorders you get a percentage of the program . Even though i don't promote as many programs as i did before i am still getting checks from reorders.. always a nice surprise

    Adult
ah the naughty sites.. pay sites are hard to make money with imo . though if you can find a good company and a good nich eall you have to worry about then is traffic, TGPs AVS, SEO whatever you can do.These are good cause again with alot of the programs you get a monthly percentage as long as that person is a memebr. Toys and DVDs i had alot better luck with and at my best months was doing a about 2k a month .. This again gives you a percentage of any reorders you get from customers and those customers are uauslly yours for life. For this you'd need several sites and have to learn a bit about traffic and seo. but all in all i would only put in a couple hours of work a day (2-4) and it produced a decent enuff 2nd income

    lastly
    Webmasters Signups
this was alot harder but well worth it. mostly in casinos, herbal/rx/adult and some mainstream affiliate programs have 2 teir affiliate programs. What i would do is i would visit other boards, build some seo pages, and target only signing up webmasters. this was you get a percentage of every sale they do. alot harder but here you don't have to do alot of grunt work selling online just have to find new webmasters and convince them to sign up for programs.. most companies give you a percentage and that is for however long that webmaster is making money

    have fun,

what about communities and services sites?
like myspace.com or singles.com I've seen a lot of them there. I guess you need a bigger investment to make money with them, mainly because they mostly earn money from ads, and spend a lot in bandwith costs when there are a lot of visitors.

What about communities/forums? I mean there are people that attract sufficient members and charge 1usd a month or something like that. Is that a good option?

communties and forums really don't make much money..revenue comes from selling ads, google adsense, banners. how much do you think FK makes.. not much at all imo..places like myspace use your email addy send you emails or resell the email lists to other companies, they also try to sell ad space..but how many people really click on a banner , most people won't pay to be a member of a forum especailly with so many free ones.. hell i know a couple that pay you to post

1 think i didn't mention was selling link spots. if you have a high page rank site pr6 and above you can get up to $150 a text link for a single month.

sk8Krog thanks i am hopeing to expand on this

MechaPiano again i was hoping expand on this and to point some people in better directions.if you have questions just ask i can answer them here and see iff we can't make some more money

its all what you put into it.. i put more into the adult cause i was making money with it.. either route you take you have to get a good grasp on traffic and what to with it .. if not your loing money..i tell clients the same thing, you have all this traffic but its not showing them what they need to see to convert.

I'm redesigning zoekertjes.net at the moment, this site is making use of google adsense. I think he's making good money, otherwise he won't pay me for the site . I did a bit reseach on adsense and found following book http://www.adsense-secrets.com/ When those figures are true it's a nice living. I added some ads to my .flash tips & tricks blog right away to get rich. just waiting to get rich now

Most of the items in your posts vampstko I don't have any experience with, but a few of them I would disagree with you on.

Adsense depends entirely on which industry you are targeting. I run a site that talks about the stock market, and make quite a bit per day (over $100) with Adsense. The content is unique, and the ads that Google shows generate me a high amount of revenue per click. I am personally aware of two people who make their livings exclusively with sites that run Adsense, and they don't have thousands of domains. They just have one or two that have plenty of content.

Casinos / poker sites. This is how I've been making my living since July 2002. There is a fistful of money to be made, especially in online poker.

    Thanks for the interesting thread.

I don't know about casinos... But I know about audio production and really enjoy providing services that I offer online. I believe in creating relevant pages about the services offered and I am getting good placement for my keywords for free on several search engines and business is building.

    Good luck everybody.

i agree with you 100% on the industry targeting i am only talking from my exp. one of my clients does 300 a day in adsense not including his other paid results he displays.. congrats on the great use of adsense on your end.

as far as poker/casino site i never had much luck with them and always thought i was fairly good at seo work but casinos failedme.. maybe i wasn't marketing them targeted enuff..but with no luck after a few months i moved on.. not ayng there isn't money to b made in it.. i just didn't have the luck with it

Darren at http://www.problogger.net/ has several sites that are rocking out over $100 per day in Adsense... probably his most profitable is his Digital Camera review site. Check at the bottom of the ProBlogger site for a list to his other sites.

Note that currently he is making over $100,000 a year on adsense alone, which is his only revenue stream from his blogs.

I started using adsense on a new site of mine 3 months ago, and currently only make about $3 per day on it, but it's growing each month.

There are several keys to making good $ with adsense that I am trying... one of those is to diversify. If you have one site that's making $5 per day, then 5 sites would make $25 per day... if one of those get very popular, traffic is high, and the adsense payouts are high, you could soon average over $100 per day across your sites with adsense alone. That would be a pretty good income. So, I'm giving it a try.

    Best wishes!

    Re: Making Money ONline

damn interesting thread. A few questions tho (apologies if they seem like silly questions but it is late at the moment!).. what's the difference between expired domains? I mean why not just register a new domain and make a few bucks/pounds off [new] traffic?

Also adsense -- if you have 3K domains, how do you manage the content of each website?

expired domains allready have existing traffic, back links and can be listed in yahoo or dmoz, new sites you could get stuck in the google sandbox and end up working months to start seeing traffic

with 3k domains everything is done thru an online generator so it develops the sites as we go

So the content for 3K is exactly the same and it can be just one page? Could you give me an example of an online generator.

i will tell you that each of the sites has unquie content none are completely identical. as far as the generator my client spent a lot on it and can't share..he had it custom built
