how do you actualy use 3d with director
can it make 3d its self
or do you need a program? please help i got a trial or director then thought i was good and bought a liccense (it wos real)
can some1 help or the money i paid wos useless
i have maya 6.5 and 3d s max latest version trial

you can, in the newest version of Director create primitaves on the fly. but for detailed work and games you'll need to use a 3d application, many people use 3DSMax.
If you go to File > Export, you'll have a list of possible file types; choose .w3d. you can then import this file into the director environment - it becomes your 'wordl', then you have to code the interections etc.
There are many other 3D applications that do the job, but max is good for keeping the poly count down

Wich one is the easyest to learn than 2dsmax?

I found cinema 4D pretty easy to get to grips with - the last time I used it, it was no-where near as advanced as Max; that's really the only one I've used (other than Max)

I use Swift 3D for 3D, but its really complex.
