    Angelina Jolie

    Hi guys and girls,

I never thought I'd actually finish this one some day. Not quite finished yet, but enought o post it on a forum.
Everything (3D model and texturing) has been done in Swift3D. Except of course the little composition I made.

I've spent quite some time on this one. Started modeling a few months ago actually. But when I got to modeling the hair and the texturing I put it in a closet somewhere and forgot about it. A few days ago I was trying out some stuff with Swift3D (posing, texturing, etc.) and found a good "new method" to apply a face-texture to a model. So when I got it to fit on this one, I decided to model the hair too, to finish it.

    Here are my results:

Dude, that's truly very cool. You've gotta share your texture techniques dude.

    Thanks gerbick!
I think I'm gonna keep this technique to myself for a little while. It's not a new technique by the way, it's a standard Swift 3D feature (but don't tell anyone ).

Here's an update that I wasn't been able to post here for some reason the last two days:

on a forum where people are meant to help each other why keep a technique to yourself, especially one which by your own admission is a standard feature?

it will help a lot of people if you posted the technique, please do

edit: by the way, the head is rounded at the back not square.. the hair in your model looks wrong when viewed from the side because of this!! happy fixing

Thanks Tyger, at least you know what you're talking about!

FYI sixblade, I've created several tutorials (most of them are free) on how to use Swift3D. And why should I explain a feature that you can find in the manual? I think the manual explains it far better than I can.

if its in the manual then my apologies. the way you worded it made me think you were keeping useful information from people that needed it!
