Annoying beep!

Somewhere in my house, there's a watch that beeps every hour on the hour, but it just makes one quick beep, so I don't have time to get to where it is. Any ideas on how to find it? There's gotta be some sort of device that can trace the source of the sound or something, sure I'm not the only one this has happened to!

Ours beeps when the backup battery is on. That one took me a while to figure out.

Or fire alarm battery...
or any backup battery for that matter...

Ahem I second this question...But Firealarms usually speed up their beeps over time. Mine go beep once a hour for a bit..Then go 15 minutes..Then every minute...And yah. it's hellishly annoying. He'd find it..If he didn't I'd just take out the pistol and Chick Ching. *Insert Firealarms beeping in agony while gun shots go off everywhere, while a person screams DIE!!!!!!*

Yeah, but with a 1/4 of a second beep once an hour, it's kind of hard to trace the source, but thanks anyway.


It's not a fire alarm, different sound, and I checked those already.

Gather a bunch of friends and offer a six-pack of beer to whoever can find it first.

Set another watch to beep 5 minutes before the hour, to remind yourself to listen. Work by process of elimination, first, figure out what room it's likely in. Map that room, mark down each spot where you're standing when you hear it.

Shouldn't take you more than a week.
