Photo - need help with matte color

I've got this pix of some poppies and need to decide on a matte color for framing. I'm not happy with the terracotta, but that is the only thing that looks ok next to the print because the image has the pink poppy in it.

    The black is the frame.

Any suggestions? I've tried cream, green & blue. Just need something to get this to pop.

    Thanks!!

PS: Thank you soooo much for this forum!!! =)

    My 2 cents...

    Matte 1
    Matte 2

Maybe a slighly creamy off-white... kinda like matte 1.

i have almost always used white.
you really can't go wrong there...
i also like big mattes...ones that take up a lot of real estate.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

Funny! I stumbled across that one some time ago and forgot about it!! I'm going to have to bookmark it for future reference and keep my color wheel handy. I do like the black and white that admedia and nordberg suggested.

    Thanks for the suggestions!!!
