    Let's write F L A S H K I T ... with photos

Ok, here's an idea I just had:

Make and post 8 photos, each photo is one character of the word FLASHKIT. Search different forms that look like each character. Each photo has to be something else, so don't make 8 pictures of a car or something. Let's post each "character" of the "word" in the same size so that all together form the word "FLASHKIT" when looked at from some distance.

I think this could be a nice exercise to train the eye for underlying forms ... so let's do it.

One day, one week, one month ... I think this thread will be up for a while, so take your time. I will need at least a few days as well.

    nice one, carly.

subbers, I might be interested in doing this myself -- are you allowed to "stage" an item to create a shape/character? e.g. an upside down lamp to create "L"?

Hmmm ... I would say it would be better if you don't artificialy place objects just to get a shape that fits a character, but if you can't find anything without such a trick, just do it.

I meant a lamp something like this:

Anyway, got to make all characters as natural as possible, right?

now need to persuade my work if I could borrow their client's 1K digicam -- still not managed to replace my digicam I lost in Prague!

Sorry, I have been too busy here today to get out and try to find all the letters so I had to cheat and place them on the kitchen table. :-(
