About a year ago a friend sent me a link to a Flash site that consisted of small poloroid-looking photos strewn across the page. Each photo was draggable and clickable - I think clicking caused it to come to the foreground and expand in size.
Essentially, it was a cooler, more interactive spin on this kind of thing:
