I just saw a few Stick men martial art Flash movies.. and my I was speechless.

    They totally rocked...

Any insight how I can do such a thing that looks as smooth as the ones I saw with loads cool kung fu?

Please I love to do such things.. Man I would wee my pants if I could!

    Thanks

    Hi,

I am not certain, but I believe the process was achieved with what is called rotoscoping. Basically, import an avi into flash and on a layer above, trace characters in the .avi frame by frame as stick figures. Or, if your good at drawing, you could do it all by hand.

Well, it was made with FBF. No doubt.

FBF takes practice and patience... Trust me

no, I'd have to say their not FBF, I mean, they've even made it into a game, granted some of it may be FBF like the insane moves and the camera angles, but i would imagine much of it isn't

yea, i origianlly wanted flash for making stick movies aswell! but havent really figured out a extremely efficient way of creating a really complicated movie! The most easiest way is to basically do a scene by scene movie which means you are going to draw each movement in!

Start off with a blank scene, draw your desired image (stick man)
then 'select all' and 'copy' it,
insert a new scene, then go 'paste in place', then erase what you wish to move and redraw it in a new position.
After finishing you can change the speed of it, but changing the 'Fps' rate, higher you go faster your movie is, lower you go slower your movie is!

I mean, thats just the way i do it. But im still in the primitive stage of Flash use!

    Hi,

Rotoscopeing and creating a "camera object" is all that is needed. It then depends on your artistic ability to create the content you want.
