If Frame = question
Hi guys...
Having taken a couple of years break from Flash, I find myself unable to remember some basics :S
I have a movieclip on my main page (instance "bgpic") which when played, fades away to middle of animation (stop action there) and then fades in when played again. I want to code my buttons so that they check which frame it's on, so if its faded out, no action is taken but to load the new MC. If its visible, then it plays the animation to fade the bgpic out and load the new MC at the same time.
I need something like this
On (release) {
if (_root.bgpic.frame=1)
_root.bgpic.play();
loadMovie ("newMC.swf")
else
loadMovie ("newMC.swf")
}
Anyone know what the hell I'm on about? :P

Hi,
Look into the _currentframe property...Maybe something like...
code:
on (release) {
if (_root.bgpic._currentframe==1){
_root.bgpic.play();
loadMovie ("newMC.swf")
}else {
loadMovie ("newMC.swf")
}
