Im gonna try out photobox.co.uk, i am in the UK so i expect that narrows my options quite considurably.

I do alot of Photoshopping for storyboards / development of work for Uni so I bought one of these...

...for ease, never used an online print service, although my girlfriend uses Kodak's Service (formally Ofoto)

    That looks cool!

    How much was it?
How many prints do you get out of it before you have to change the ink?
is the paper expensive for it?
is it the same quality as your girlfriends snaps?

    Thanks

I used www.shutterfly.com a couple of times. and as long as you digital "negatives" are good to begin with and the size you order should be fine. I ordered a 8x10 from a 2.1 MP camera and it was decent, and got a really nice 4x6.

    www.hp.com you can order a 5'4"x90' print for $1500

You can get the cp300 (The one without a battery pack for portability) for about £120 these days and the paper costs around £8 for 36 prints (it comes in a pack, 36 6x4 sheets of paper and enough "Ink" (it's dye-sub) to print them on.

It is not as copst effective as some of the print services available but for experimenting and ease of use it's unbeatable!

You can also get credit card size paper and panoramic 8x4.

I will use http://www.internetphotosdirect.co.uk to print my digital photos soon. I think this is part of photobox.
