Artist portfolio site, looking for some feedback

    Hey guys,

I just finished up a porfolio site for a friend of mine to showcase her paintings. I wanted to keep it pretty streamlined so her work can be the focus of the site, but keep in interesting with a bit of scripting. Check it out and let me know what you think if you have a free minute. Thanks!

    Hi!
i like the site! Good scripting!
If there's one thing you should improve, i think it would be the background picture that meets you, where you press "enter site". That could maybe look a bit more professional? (just a tip)

    very nice

good job. how did you do the dynamic shape shifting? Shape tweening with the elasticity? I'm really impressed.

thanks for the kind words Inasite. The shape shifting is pretty much an AS tween of _width property of the box, set to whatever I defined based on te content.. the trick was to move the left and right edges of the box along with it so the thin borders didn't get stretched out.

thanks for the comments so far guys, I appreciate it!

Nice man. I love the colors you used - great. As for the image on the front.. in a different context, I think I would agree with Magnus, but in this case I think it fits real well with what greets you upon entering the site.

    Hi DMB!

I meant the background picture when you write the address. The site that meets you. (before pressing "enter gallery")
Maybe the colours/design should be a bit different?
Or you dont have to listen to me You're much better at design in general anyway:P

    Very cool site.

I like the way the different parts of the website open up and animate.

    Good job.

thanks for taking the time to give the site a look...

magnus, as far as the images you're referring to, i was trying to pull from the colors and striped design of the site, to tie both of them together. in any case, i value your opinion, and i'll keep that in mind. basically i had the flash site done and wanted to get the site online, and that was the first thing i came up with that i liked so i went with it.
